Holty Paws & hooves aims to be the dog walking, horse care and transport and pet sitting service your pet would choose.

We are a family of reliable, friendly and fun animal lovers and we thoroughly enjoy walking, playing with and caring for your pet as much as you do.

In addition, all of our walkers have completed Pet First Aid training, are DRB checked, we are NARPS UK Accredited and comprehensively insured with public liability up to £5 million.

We specialise in small-group dog walking, pet visit and sitting services, puppy and senior dog visits and socialisation, equine care and horsebox rental - and if you can’t see what you need, please just ask us!

how it works

When you first contact us, we’ll have a chat and then arrange a ‘Meet and Greet’ visit. This allows you to introduce us to your animal and advise us of any special requirements they may have, so that you can see for yourself that your pet is happy with us, and you can feel confident leaving them in our care, knowing they will be well looked after.

Once you have decided that you will choose Holty Paws & Hooves, you register on our secure booking portal, creating a profile giving all care details about your animal and contact details for yourselves. Once set up you can send future booking requests to us, update your pet’s details with special dietary needs for example and even leave access instructions if you won’t be at home when we come to visit your pet.

Of course, if technology isn’t your friend, we can also arrange your dog walking, pet feeding, puppy care, house-sitting or whichever service you need over the telephone or email.

meet the paws team

“I wanted to create a business offering services that truly put the pets at the forefront and focused on their needs above all else. I absolutely LOVE what I do.”

- gabby, founder

Gabby is the founder of Holty Paws and the driving force behind everything we do. Her passion for animals is unmatched, and nothing lights her up like outdoor time with four-legged friends.

Ian is Gabby’s right-hand man. He heads up ‘canine & human recruitment’, meeting all new clients and trains our new walkers when they join the team.

harvey

Caitlyn has a deep-rooted passion for dogs, and has completed an apprenticeship in animal care before joining the team here at Holty Paws. Her connection with all the dogs she has met has been wonderful to see.

mia

Mia has been working as a recruiter but has longed for a change of pace and wanted to swap offices for fields and woodland.

Tina has worked in the outdoors as far back as she can remember, and from the moment she could talk, was asking her parents for a dog. She loves her work that allows her to be outdoors and enjoy lots of doggy cuddles and playtime.

tina

kerry

Kerry has worked in the petcare industry before. She was keen to return to this area and give love, care and attention to other people's pets again.

gabby

Harvey, our own dog, is our Chief Exercise Officer - he joins us on many of our walks and is the perfect conduit between us and our clients, the dogs, always welcoming newcomers to the group. He also has to approve all new walking locations before they get added to our roster.

maya

Maya, our daughter, really is such a dog whisperer; the dogs absolutely adore her and love being around her calm, warm energy when she assists Ian on his walks.

Beth has loved dogs her whole life but since starting a family, owning one of her own hasn't been possible. She had previously worked for the Border Force and in spite of completing Dog Handler training the option of working with dogs wasn't materialising so joining our team was the perfect solution.

Kim had been a client of Holty Paws, and seeing how we cared for her exuberant labrador, Jack, it made her realise she wanted to offer the same kind of care to others.

rowan

Rowan works within the hospitality industry but has always wanted to work with animals, having grown up with dogs and other small furry things around her. She is now able to combine two careers and is looking forward to spending time out and about with your dogs.

laura

Laura worked with Holty Paws between 2021 and 2022 and we are delighted to have her back in the team.

She's currently studying at university to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse specialising in exotics and zoology.

want to join team holty?

We’ve built a great reputation over the past few years for delivering amazing adventures and fun times for the dogs under our care, always with a smile and a focus on safety.

We are always keen to speak with people who absolutely LOVE dogs (and other animals) and who’d like to look at gaining a greater degree of fulfilment from the work they do. We’ve had all sorts of people join us over the years and although this work certainly isn’t right for everyone, it IS right for those who really do care about giving the animals they are caring for, the very best of themselves.

If you think you have the qualities we are looking for, send us an email and we can chat.
