Adventure led Dog-walking services in Hampshire

The fun and enjoyment of your dog’s adventure starts when we collect them. We interact all the way through the drive to the walk, sometimes singing or chatting with them, as we do with our own dogs. Holty Paws has a large number of exciting and dog-friendly walking locations to choose from, including beaches, riverside, woodland, parkland and meadows where we take your dogs on different adventures each day.

We know dogs love to stretch their legs and break into a full-speed charge, as well as have interesting areas to sniff and explore. We deliberately vary our dog-walking locations to keep dogs interested and stimulated.

Holty Paws take our responsibilities as dog walkers incredibly seriously. All dog-walkers have been DBS-checked, hold Pet First Aid Certificates, are fully insured and, unlike some other dog walkers, we operate a maximum of only 4-5 dogs in a single walking group.

Small groups of dogs are less intimidating to other dogs out walking and the general public, who may not love dogs as much as we do, and it also ensures we are fully in control of each dog.

We can allow your dog the freedom they crave and will provide them with individual attention throughout the walk, whether that is sharing in a mid-walk treat stop, a cuddle or personal play.

meet the team

Holty Hooves was a natural progression for us, born out of our family's lifelong love of animals.

A little over six years ago we started a dog walking and bespoke pet care company, Holty Paws, offering a level of care to dogs (and other pets) that we had not been able to find ourselves when we had been in need.

We've been involved with horses for even longer, Gabby has been riding on and off her whole life and our daughter has been riding for over 15 years and she now has her own horse, Bella, whom is cared for by the whole family.

“Opening the Hooves side of the business was a natural progression for me, a true extension of my lifelong love for animals. I think Maya must have inherited that passion from me because animals have been my saviours and my greatest teachers since my earliest memories. My love for dogs and horses runs deep, and after years in the corporate world, I knew it was time to follow my heart and dedicate my life to caring for them, my lifelong dream.

Horses have always held a special place in my heart. I’ve ridden since I was young and have always loved the freedom of galloping through the countryside at every opportunity. When Maya came along and developed her own bond with horses, our journey naturally grew into learning and caring for them together. Owning our horse, Bella, has been one of the most profound experiences of my life. She came to us with health and behavioural challenges caused by pain and fear, and helping her heal through gentle, non-invasive, and holistic methods has been such an incredibly rewarding learning experience. Watching her transform into a happy, relaxed, and pain-free horse fills me with pride and gratitude.

I’m endlessly fascinated by equine behaviour and natural horsemanship. I’m constantly reading, learning, and working to deepen my understanding of these incredible animals. Every day they teach me something new about patience, trust, and the quiet power of connection, lessons I carry into every part of my work and every part of my life.”

maya

“Hi, I’m Maya, and horses and animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve been around horses since I was two years old and have grown up riding, competing, and caring for them. I was an active member of Pony Club, taking part in many competitions and learning so much along the way. Now, I’m the proud owner of Bella, my beautiful chestnut Irish Sports Horse, who’s my absolute pride and joy.

I’m fully qualified with City & Guilds L1&2 Diploma in Equine Studies and L3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Equine Management from Sparsholt College. My love for both horses and dogs began when I was very young, they’ve always been my world. Being autistic, animals have given me incredible strength, confidence, and comfort throughout my life. I’ve always had a natural connection with them, they seem to gravitate towards me, and I feel so lucky to share such special bonds with the animals I care for.

Whether it’s grooming, caring for, or simply spending time with horses and dogs, I treat every one of them as if they were my own. I believe in kindness, patience, and calm energy when working with animals, and it’s so rewarding to see the trust and love that grows from that.”
